How to make beef stroganoff with herbal rice - an international recipe with a Saudi twist
Beef stroganoff is one of the most famous creamy dishes in the world, but when you prepare it with Meat & More products, the taste is different!
Tender beef stroganoff, mushrooms, and rich cream... served with herb basmati rice for a complete dish packed with protein, energy, and flavor.
✅ Ingredients (serves 4-5 people):
🥩 Beef Stroganoff:
- 800g Beef Stroganoff from Meat & More
- 2 tablespoons meat spices
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large white onion, chopped
- 125 grams of white mushrooms + 125 grams of portobello mushrooms
- 4 crushed garlic cloves
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup of meat broth
- 1 cup cooking cream
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
- ½ teaspoon salt + ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
🍚 Herbal Basmati Rice:
- 2 cups of basmati rice
- 1 tablespoon butter + 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme + ¼ tablespoon dried thyme
- 2 chopped green onions
- 2 cups of meat broth
- 1 teaspoon of salt
👨🍳 Preparation method:
1. Season the meat slices with salt, pepper, and meat spices, and leave them in the refrigerator for two hours (optional).
2. Heat the butter and oil, and stir-fry the meat slices until well browned on both sides, then set them aside.
3. In the same pan, add butter and oil, then the onions and mushrooms, and stir until the liquids have dried up.
4. Add the garlic and stir for a minute, then the Worcestershire sauce and beef stock, stirring to break up the flavors from the bottom of the pan.
5. Add the cooking cream and sour cream (diluted with part of the sauce), and stir continuously until combined.
6. Add mustard, fresh thyme, salt and pepper, and leave the mixture until it becomes creamy.
7. Return the meat to the pan with the remaining juices, and let it cook on low heat until fully cooked.
8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with herbed rice.
🍚 Preparing rice with herbs:
1. In a saucepan, heat the butter and oil, and add the thyme and green onions.
2. Add the drained rice and stir, then add the meat broth and salt, and leave until fully cooked.
3. Serve hot rice with the stroganoff.

Serve stroganoff directly with rice or in a separate dish, garnished with fresh parsley.

💡 Chef's Tip:
For the perfect creamy result, be sure to mix the sour cream with part of the sauce before adding it, to avoid clumping.
