How to make white beans (kidneys) with veal pieces - a rich and warming traditional recipe
A classic recipe from Arabic cuisine that combines fresh veal cubes from Meat & More with fiber-rich white beans.
A complete dish, ideal for a lunch party or a winter meal, full of flavors and spices, and often served with white rice or Arabic bread.
✅ Ingredients (serves 4-5 people):
- 500g fresh diced veal from Meat & More
- 2 cups white beans (pre-soaked for 12 hours)
- 1 large chopped onion
- 4 crushed garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon mixed spices
- A pinch of cumin + a pinch of cinnamon (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or country butter
- 4 cups of water or meat broth
👨🍳 Preparation method:
1. Heat the oil in a deep saucepan, add the onions and stir until wilted.
2. Add the garlic, then the meat pieces, and stir until browned on all sides.
3. Add tomato paste and spices, and stir well.
4. Add the soaked beans and water or broth until the ingredients are covered.
5. Cover the pot and leave it on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours until the beans and meat are fully cooked.
