BBQ steak with mushroom sauce

Serves: 2–3 people

Ingredients

BBQ Steak: 2 pieces

Coarse salt + black pepper

Butter: 2 tbsp + Garlic: 2 cloves + Rosemary (optional)

Mushrooms: 250g slices

Cooking cream: 1 cup (or evaporated milk)

Beef broth: 1/2 cup

Preparation method

(1) Season the steak with salt and pepper.

(2) Heat the pan/grill and brown the steak to the desired degree of doneness.

(3) Add the butter and garlic over the steak in the last minute to marinate.

(4) In the same pan: Sauté the mushrooms until they wilt, then add the broth.

(5) Add the cream and let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes.

(6) Serve the steak with mushroom sauce.

Don't turn the steak too much; let it brown properly.

It goes great with mashed potatoes or white rice.
